"Thing to understand, is that USA is not Donald Trump."

Yes, but he represents the US, and he has the power to tear up deals signed by his predecessors.

For example with Paris climate agreement, man ...

'Muslim countries will of course condemn Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, but they will still continue to sell oil to millions of US car owners.'

That's beside the point, which is that they voted overwhelmingly for the resolution despite threats from the US, sending a clear message that they would not be bullied by this great power!

'China on the other hand, is ruled by a single party with absolute power and does allow any other voices. China only appears to the world as one number, whether a friend, foe, or an indifferent country far away.'

I am not here to discuss the merits of one party vs multi party politics, just making the point that China has been fast making  friends all over the world, while the US, under Trump, has been losing friends just as fast!

But nobody had as many friends as the pre-Trump U.S.A. did, and China still has not a single one to  ...

'It's so-called "Belt and Road Initiatige" is not about making friends but about robbing its neighbours of resources and money and channeling these into China's national coffers.'

Go tell that to the hundreds of nations that have signed up to the Initiative;  they are no fools, if that's what you want us to believe!

With some of these "friends" who needs enemies?

Yes, I know what you are hinting at, but friends are friends; would you rather have enemies?

China is not robbing its neighbors, it is helping them build bridges and roads.

Agreed, like I said in the thread, steel and mortar bridges and bridges of friendship!
