The science of psychology points out that human behaviors are mediated by:

Beliefs and knowledge;
Emotions;
Goals and aspirations.

The first driving forces are already at play in robots' functionality, the second appear to be imminent, and when the robots start to have their own life goals, then we'd better learn how to live with a new humanlike species that would scramble at their own discretion to share resources on earth with us.
Believe it or not, it's true.

May I also add that human behaviours are also affected by the environment and to a certain extent, mental (or psychological) conditioning.

Personally, I still think it is not possible for robots to possess the same kind of emotions as humans because circuitries do not show the same intangible feelings of the human type.

Personally, it is still too soon to say that robots can't have emotions.

Years before, scientists asserted that machines and robots were incapable of proactive learning, and now we have all witnessed what Easygo can do.

And to my knowledge, psychologists now could classified emotions into different categories, as well as the triggers of those emotions, which in essence are the function of environmental stimuli and human's inherent traits that actually could also be categorized.

Theoretically, those function relationships could all be mathematically modeled in the form of computer programs that could be installed in the robots' computing systems.

You see artificial intelligence really has the potential to open Pandora's box.

Believe it or not, it's true.

We can only wait and see. Presently, AI still has a long way to go. At present, all those "emotions" are dependent upon massive calculations simulating feelings by very fast computers.
