"Chinese are the most cautious & respected people in the world."

Stupid people are like Glowsticks. You want to snap them in half and shake the crap out of them until they see the light.
I love sarcasm. It's like punching someone in the head ... only with words

A knife is a tool. A pair of scissors is also a tool. If the police are at your door, and they do not know you are carrying scissors until you open that door, those scissors become a possible weapon. If you go to the door with a baseball bat in your hand, you'd better make sure you have a baseball mitt and a ball in the other one, because if you don't, that baseball bat will be seen as a weapon. If you have anything at all in your hands, it can be seen as a weapon. Remember, police often have only a split second to make a decision. Especially when they do not know what is on the other side of that closed door.

Scissors can easily injure or kill, so yes they can be described as a lethal weapon. If you attack any policeman they have the right to use force to stop you
if you want something in life get off your backside, and do it yourself!! don't rely on others to do it for you

The French police in that arrondissement most likely overreacted to the situation due to the high crime rates in that ethnic ghetto. Chinese immigrants tend to cluster around the cheapest and thus poorest neighborhoods in Western cities where ethnic ghettos abound. According to press reports, Chinese immigrants are frequent targets of street criminals in Paris which is also true in other Western cities because Chinese immigrants carry cash and fall prey as easy targets by criminal gangs.

France as well as other Western countries such as Sweden has a ticking time bomb in their hands: how to deal with the law and order problems caused by unassimilated immigrants and ethnic minorities from Muslim and African countries. Chinese immigrants tend to cluster around poor and cheap neighborhoods populated mainly by these people. That the victim is a Chinese immigrant is orthogonal to my belief that the French police has a well-known problem with police brutality in maintaining law and order in these ethnic ghettos.
