There is a public secondary school in Warrnambool that is self funded the only way you can get your child enrolled into this school is if your parents or grandparents went there

We are getting ready to buy an outdated apartment in downtown Beijing. It sounds like a bad decision since it was built in the 1970s but the school district is good. In spite of the exorbitant price, it means that my child will thrive at the school.

Yeah one of my foreign teacher said that he would go back to the UK in few years because his daughter was born and he hoped she could have British education, not the edu in China.

If it's self funded then it is not part of the public school system in Australia, it's a private school (called a public school in the UK)

Each system has its merits.  The Chinese system is more taxing on students but doesn't teach them to be able to learn for themselves, nor how to think independently from what I've seen of it.

The UK system like most western education systems lacks discipline and the students aren't pushed hard enough so many students learn lazy ways.

It is part of the public system it was just very well managed back in the 70s with purchasing assets with fund raising
