The closest that someone could get to the correct pronunciation is to adopt the local pronunciation. But just as foreigners mispronounce Chinese names so the Chinese mispronounce foreign names. The name Bob, for example, is not correctly pronounced as bobo.
(mostly harmless)

Note, I take issue with news anchors  not with ordinary folks on either side. They are broadcasting to the world, they should be held to a higher standard!
