It is better said then done. A sudden turn of heart from the one message that says China should abide to the verdict.

They can reject the verdict and so did UK when then result is not in their favor, so why can't China. And by the way, the situation is just as similar to what has happened now.

Let's hope this turn of page is not one of their scheme on the making for another agenda to pop up. Very much in doubt about their sincerity.

US has all rights and authority to demand US citizens and nations paying protection fees to US to comply without demand, less to pay higher prices possibly at full cost. China must be on FULL ALERT. 'It's time to turn the page', said by US State Secretary does not mean no trouble but rather to prepare for the up and coming more rounds of wreslting until the bull is taken by its horn and subdued. Otherwise, the process continues forever and the loser will be left with broken bones, loss of teeth and two black eyes, which will be the minimum damages to be sustained. Mark These Words!

The USA had a sudden change of heart because they know the PCA  "ruling" will have a negative effect on its own islands being reclassified as mere "rocks". The Western Media has now back-tracked on this issue because Western countries own small islands in the Caribbean and in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans that could be reclassified as mere "rocks" under this PCA "ruling".

How many times the US government say something and did the opposite, one must be really ignorant to believe them.
