According to a report on May 22nd a villagerliving in a remote village got sick and asked witch doctors for help. She wasput into a wood vat so that the “ghost” in her body could be driven out throughboiling. When the water was boiling and the vapour came into the vat. She wascrying while she felt terribly hot, but she couldn’t come out. Her husbandbegged the two witches to let her out from the vat, but was refused. He wastold that her wife was crying because the “ghost” was coming out from her bodyand after the ceremony finished, she would recover.

Her body turned purple after coming out from the vat. Later she died.

It is incredible. However, it is a true story. I can’t believe such awitchcraft still has its followers in our modern community. When you have acommon sense of being boiled in a wood vat, you will refuse it. In fact, thelady is a victim of blind faith.

Do you have any ideas about it?

that was a tragic event but this is by no means an isolated case; everywhere people trust quacks.

Some are ignorant enough to trust this deceitful trick. We can learn a lot from TV, from books, from many channels. When you have common sense about it, you will not step into the trap.

Also questioning what you read or see is a good habit.
Blind faith in the internet, TV or newspapers can lead to people being deceived.

Everyone has a responsibility to ask for proof and examples when it comes to such basic things as their own health.

A 'Trust me, I'm a doctor' attitude leaves people open to being conned.

Actually, some people, especially those who are suffering disease and are not well educated always ask for help without a reasonable thinking. They just hope mysterious power can help them.

When people have enough knowledge about it and when we are wise enough to recognize the frauds, we are safe.
