When I saw the news that a 65 years old manis conquering the tallest peak of the world, the Everest, I was shocked. Hisname is Xia Boyu from China. How much courage he has, and how much preparationincluding training, psychology and so on he must have, before he started toclimb. We can’t imagine.

He once was a member of the national mountaineering team in 1975. He hadever reached the altitude of 8600 meters. On the way to the top, he got coldinjure in his legs because he gave his sleeping-bag to his teammate. Then histwo legs were painfully cut off. Since then he put on artificial limbs. Hekeeps training and never stops climbing. Now he comes back and is conquering thetallest peak of the world.

His story touches everyone. His “Never Give Up” makes him a great hero. Whatwill you do when you face similar difficulties in your life? Could you shareyour feelings or your ideas with us?
