As pro American as I am, I have to agree with what you've written.

I think that it's high time the US "butted out" and focused on home issues. In saying this, if the US becomes introverted, there will be a vacuum that will not be easily filled.....and so we have a conundrum

What have Americans brought to them? It is the point. Business? profits?

They have brought only misery to Mid East and North Africa nothing else.

That's odd, because it sure looks like the rich rule in China too.

You deposit 10,000 dollars in a bank, the bank makes 800 dollars each year OUT OF YOUR MONEY, and gives you 100 dollars as interest, AFTER hefty payment to top executives (in west) or corruption (in China).

Where does the remaining 700 dollars go?
