Quanzhou (Fujian province): Zhongshan Road

  Along the road there are overhanging buildings dating back to the early 1920s, presenting the essence of Nanyang architecture style. Zhongshan Road is the only well-preserved commercial street of overhanging buildings in China.

  What to see: Roman-style bell tower, Institutional Church, Huaqiao Taoist Temple

Xiamen (Fujian province): Gulangyu

  Gulangsu is an island off the coast of Xiamen. Automobiles are forbidden on the little island, making Gulangyu a peaceful place with a coast, rocks and trees. The Nanyang style overhanging buildings add to the cultural beauty.

Zhangzhou (Fujian province): Taiwan Road and Hong Kong Road

Wuhan (Hubei province): Jianghan Street and Zhongshan Avenue

Chongqing: Ci Qi Kou

  Ci Qi Kou (or porcelain village) got its name from the well-known porcelain workshops and transportation ports in this area. Since the mid-Ming Dynasty, Ci Qi Kou has become a busy land and river commercial transportation center.

Shiping (Yunnan province): Old Shiping city
