Should China and the US sign an Extradition Treaty [Copy link] 中文

The question is which of the two countries stands to benefit most from the treaty.There have been a lot of hustle and tussle between the two countries with regards to repatriating fugitives sought after by the law. That isn't ending anytime soon as China for example continues to intensify its anti-graft laws and programs. More than 100 fugitives are believed to be residing in the US.  US law makers on the other side are seeking to bring to justice for example Chinese nationals accused of espionage. Perhaps both sides sees the cons outweighing the Pros hence the reason they stray away from negotiating on signing an extradition treaty
