the pollution is a more serious threat to Chinese tourism: you can always find a clean toilet eventually if you search hard enough, but the toxic nature of the air will take many many years to solve.

the Chinese environment ministry said in a report released today, that only eight out of China's 74 biggest cities passed the government's basic air quality standards in 2014.

By the way, I don't think we need any "experts" (on toilets???) to tell us that something is a lit ...

toilet consultant.....
if you want something in life get off your backside, and do it yourself!! don't rely on others to do it for you

I literally hold it in if I am outside and i need the toilet. I have never seen anything so disgusting in my entire life.

In my university, it's literally  trench, not even a door. I seen my class mate s**ting, I seen everything when he said hi to me, I turned round and seen it all just....hanging. It's hard to have a serious debate about someone after seeing them take a dump.
You know that every time I try to go
Where I really want to be
It's already where I am
'Cause I'm already there

Yeah, clean em up, don't mind the Chinese toilet so much as the haphazard use of them

Good idea. An additional benefit of replacing older toilets would be the water savings.

http://www.home-water-works.org/indoor-use/toilets

Older toilets could use up to 5-7 gallons. Replacing them with ones that use as low as 1.3-1.7 gallons saves a significant amount of water if the average person flushed 5 times daily.

20 million people*5 flushes*5gallons=500,000,000gals/day... No wonder the tap is running low...
