Why not ban war and leave the games to the kids.
Of course you'd have to assume western imperialists would stop trying to subjugate nations
so that's not really possible at this point in time.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

I don't think they should be banned. Most people who play them don't hurt anyone. People who are inclined to be violent will be violent wether or not they play video games.

Let's talk about ending gratuitous violence in the media. By age 20, individuals have witnessed about 20,000 TV/movie murders.
Traditional war games can help improve the ability to strategize and/or negotiate. Video games can help improve hand/eye coordination. As long as playing war games is not all there is in one's life, then why not?

Another example of politically-correct censorship? Yes, if I had children under 10, I'd try to steer them away from those games where you chop off peoples heads or burn them with napalm. I play the operational war games in which I move symbolic units about and set-up battles. If my children became addicted to violent games, I'd search for the cause of their anger and do my best to relieve it.
What's on your mind...
