To live with your parents after marriage does not encourage taking adult responsibility for day to day problems, choices and chores.
Would you like it if your husband or wife took the side of their parent before you in EVERYTHING?
A mature relationship with a marriage partner involves dealing with cooking and cleaning and financial matters, without the interference of a parent - unless invited to give advice.
It is like a child running home to mother for every minor bump in the road of life and not being responsible enough on their own to deal with the challenges of marriage.
I am sure it is the dream of every immature man to have 2 women in the home to take care of him rather than being an adult in an adult relationship.
It is true that I do know people who have a mother-in-law/father-in-law living with them, but this is usually for medical reasons, but definitely NOT something that is a good idea for couples who have been married less than 10 years.

Most of the old people i know are so independent they would not want to live with their married children.
when the do it is with the consent of both people in the couple.

My parents had a five bedroom house when I got married. My Mother suggested that if we stayed there we could save more money and buy our own house within a year

I suggested it to my GF and she said 'Not A Chance'

We rented an apartment for £7.50 per month and after 2 years bought our first house £9,500.00 (but that was 41 years ago) I guess that place now would sell for £220,000.00

if they have a villa, a castle or an estate why not? All the groaning in a flat will only appeal to a kinky person - so no!
No, I live above Sunset Plaza, it's a little house I rent and it's a little rundown but has a beautiful view, what about you?

That's a shame, had that been in Landaan, it would fetch half a billion or so at today's prices!
