As a general rule Chinese cannot make desserts, serve breakfast or make bread that would taste good in most western foreigner's mouth.

very true   my chinese wife like the "western" desserts, breakfast and REAL bread much better then the chinese

Moon cake is difficult to find in the States unless you have a Chinese community close by. My wife just came back from Beijing after visiting her parents and friends. I just got got a fresh supply and there a lot better than some of the stale ones I've found at the Chinese market...
