Attention Ratfink, Robert237 and Coralbay

Please keep the personal attacks off the board.

It doesn't look good.

Geeze, I have to resort to warning myself to behave..

Screwed up?

"I never went to college a year later (after I turned 18)."

Two years but you obviously think you are something special.
It's adorable how you constantly attack anyone who suggests that western imperialism isn't the solution to all world problems.
It's a result of your indoctrination. Or didn't you know that.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

No. It's supposed to be, and most certainly is, a depiction of just how childish you can be on thi ...

Now you're just twisting in the wind. Ratfink and I were arguing about photography. Not Chinese culture.
And I never claimed I knew more about Chinese culture than everyone else. But I certainly know more
about Chinese culture than you and a few of your pretender friends.

I understand they are back lite to an annoying degree and there's nothing special in their framing ...

I don't blame the photographer. It's the advertising agencies call.  On a shoot like this some bunch of artsy fartsy creative heads will come up with the concept and a visualisation brief.  A suitable photographer will be found and then with the photographer (or not depending on how much of a reputation the photographer has) the models will be found and hired along with the necessary props.

The photographer then gets the brief (written and or verbal or both) on what is required, often in places like India the "creative consultant" from the agency will go along to the photoshoot to direct the images and look etc.  The photographer is just a hired image taker with little or no say in what's shot in a case like this.

We can't blame him, he's just a finger on the shutter release. The Agency is the one who should be under fire as it's their sloppy work and poor taste that allowed this half baked concept to evolve, grow the proverbial legs and go out in to the world.
