Liuhe Pagoda (Six Harmonies Pagoda)(六和寺) is located at the foot of Yuelun Hill, facing the Qiantang River in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. It was originally constructed in 970 AD during the Northern Song Dynasty (960–1127). The pagoda is octagonal in shape and stands some 59.89 meters (196.5 ft). It also has the appearance of being a thirteen-storied structure, though it only has seven interior stories. There is a spiral staircase leading to the top floor and upon each of the seven ceilings are carved and painted figures including animals, flowers, birds and characters which are significant materials for decorative picture research of the Southern Song Dynasty.

Lingguang Pagoda(灵光塔), built in the Bohai Period (698-926) in the Tang Dynasty, is situated on a plat ground southwest of Tashan Mountain in the northwestern suburb of Changbai County, Jilin province. It is the oldest pagoda in the northeastern region and is a representative of a historical treasure from the Bohai Kingdom. Lingguang Pagoda is a 13-meter-high square pagoda made of brick whose base is rectangular and has five stories. The pagoda overlooks Yalu River and is of great historical value in studying culture and architecture from the Bohai Period.

The Tiger Hill Pagoda (Huqiu Tower), more officially known as the Yunyan Pagoda, is nicknamed the 'Leaning Tower of China.’ Construction began in 959 AD and was completed in 961 AD. The pagoda stands 47.5 meters and is octagonal in a cross-section. The entire structure weighs some 6,000 tons, supported by internal brick columns. Since the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the pagoda has gradually slanted due to forces of nature. Now the top and bottom of the tower vary by 2.3 meters. The pagoda leans 2゜40’ degrees due to the cracking of two supporting columns.

Leifeng Pagoda is located on Sunset Hill south of West Lake in Hangzhou. For thousands of years, the pagoda was associated with the legend of the White Snake. Since its collapse in 1924, two essays by Lu Xun made it even more well-known. The original pagoda was built in 977 AD, during Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, at the order of King Qian Chu (born Qian Hongchu) of Wuyue Kingdom. The new 71-meter-high pagoda has five stories and covers an area of 3,133 square meters. It is an octagonal tower designed on the ruins of the Southern Song Dynasty.
