But, you see, it is usually very difficult to take pictures of antrocities comitted. Most of the pictures that are known, showing terrible stories were made by the agressors. In China, Russia, Poland, Yugoslavia, Greece and many other places , the victims had no chance to make evidence. It was done by the criminals themselves ( the recent scandal with detainees in Bahdad prison is just a next sample).|
The row of cut heads can be attributed to whomever - yes. The pictures of buldozzers pushing skeletons into a deep ditch in Auschwitz can be disputed as well as there are no well seen registration numbers on the vehicle.
My opinion is like this:
Americans made a fukg big mistake in Japan after the war , that they did not organize an obligatory education system for ALL Japanese right after the cannons got silenced. This should have been done in a similar manner like in Germany.
Years have passed, the history of antrocities comitted during 30's and 40's by japanese military was manipulated, faded and some terrible things treated in a manner of taboo.
Japanese leaders insisted that the full truth would brake the spirit of the Nation and the back bone/ face.
Today, you tell that some of the shown pictures are faked, edited or do not show the situation of the subtitles. May be yes, may be not. Depends what pictures we take for a look.
The major problem is not to fiddle about this or another pic, but WHY the full story has not been described in details earlier, the full story not written in school books, the evidences (or the copies) not filled up in the war museums in every bigger japanese city, and history lessons not being given there.
You see, the way it has been handled in Japan after the war gives very weak voice to any Japanese now ,to talk about this or another picture, even if you are right on this.
Nation , that has been belittling the horrible facts of their past has no moral power to talk about very details , when in the past these details were hidden ( or not exposed visibly enough).
