First ,what is a green card ?If you have a country's green card ,you can stay in this country al long as you like and enter the country without a visa .

Recently ,chinese government plan to lower the green card threshold .During the past 7 years ,only about 4700 foreigners have got the green card while more than 600,000 foreigners have stayed in China for a long time .
The first foreigner who got the green card was a female physicist .After living in China for 56 years she got her green card .If a foreigner want to apply a green card in Shanghai,he should go to the local police station first .Then the city police sector and the national security department will decide whether the foreigner can get the green card .It takes about half a year .Besides, there are four kinds of green card and none of them is easy to get  .They are investment ones ,job ones ,relative ones and contribution ones .Most of the foreigners can only apply for the contribution ones because the first two have very high requirements .The investment one need the foreigner invest more than 500,000 dollars in China and he or she has paid the tax for three years in a row .The job ones need the foreigner to be the CEO of big international companies .

Now you have the idea how hard it is to get a green card in China .It is so weird that millions of chinese have got other countries' green cards while we don't want to give our green cards to foreigners .What are the chinese government thinking about ?If we really want to attract talented people ,we should lower our standards first .

""If we really want to attract talented people ,we should lower our standards first.""

Now that's an oxymoron if I ever heard one.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?
