Taliban Captured more than 150 ANSF in Helmand: Akhunzada

The provincial Governor Deputy of Helmand Abdul Majid Akhunzada said Taliban have captured more than 150 Afghan security forces while they were moving from Naadali to main city of Lashkargah in Chah-i- Anjeer area, stating that 100 of the Afghan security forces in exchange of fire with Taliban were killed on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile the Maiwand Corp commander has rejected the statement saying no one of the Afghan security forces has been arrested by the Taliban in Helmand.

Taliban have recently released a video where dozens of Afghan security force are inside classroom.

Provincial Governor Deputy Abdul Majid Akhunzada also said," the more than 150 Afghan security forces were arrested late Tuesday night, whom were ambushed by Taliban in the middle of Naadali and Lashkargah city of Helmand highway, where 100 of the Afghan security forces were killed on the spot, and more than 150 others were taken as hostage."

Maiwand 215 Corp commander Lt Gen Wali Mohammad Ahmadzai said," none of Afghan security forces was arrested, and no one was ambushed, the video which was released comes from the past time, releasing such kind of video throughout the social media is part of the Taliban war but I confirm the causalities its war though."

Meanwhile war in Helmand makes hundreds of Helmandi to leave their province for Kandahar province on daily basis local officials at Natural disaster department of Helmand said.

Head of the Natural disaster department at Kandahar Masoud Pashton said," the war continuation in Helmand is made hundreds of residents to seek safe shelters in neighboring provinces like Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan on daily basis.

A number of displaced residents of Helmand urged that artillery fires from Taliban side made the residents to leave their houses.

One of the displaced residents Atiqullah said," We were celebrating Ashura in our mosque when two bullets hit the glasses of the mosque then we moved from there."

They demand the Government of Afghanistan to ensure security for Helmand rather than providing food and shelters in Kandahar.

War has continued in Helmand since three weeks and Taliban are trying to intensify their activities in surrounding area of Helmand province.
