Share Why does China gives its support to candidate Nicolas Sarkozy...?

For the French elections,China gives its support to candidate Nicolas Sarkozy despite multiple errors toward China in the past. That sounds very strange if we concider that sir Sarkozy is a pure capitalist. It's even more surprising when knowing that against Sarkozy, there are at least four other candidates who are communist or socialist (Arthaud, Poutou, Hollande and Melenchon). So if Chinese support to Sarkozy isn't ideological, what is it based on?
