As a foreigner residing in China, I watched in awe the performances of the Chinese teams in both the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. The team brought pride to every Chinese and elevate the Chinese identity to a remarkable level in the sports community worldwide.

With the debut of the Rio Olympic Games in Rio, all Chinese hearts are aching to see the Chinese team repeat or overpass their triumphs in the previous Olympic Games.

It seems that skeptics, everywhere, tend to cast a shadow of doubt about the possibility of the Chinese team being able to accomplish that exceptional task of returning to China more than a hundred medals most of which are gold. However, those, who had the opportunity to watch the Chinese achieve one victory after another in previous Olympic Games, know that the Chinese are capable of attaining almost impossible goals.

The whole universe was bewildered and amazed by the ingenious and remarkable hosting of the 2008 Olympic Games. The efficiency and the opulence of the Olympic events garnered them adulation and admiration from people everywhere.

Foreign media, motivated by ideological objectives spread the fallacy of the propaganda to create doubt about the capacity of China to complete the Olympic facilities to host the 2008 Olympics. However, the Chinese determination and pride proved them wrong.

Those who are cynical should go back and watch the Chinese performance of the Chinese teams in both the 2008 and 2012. Their cynicism will vanish into thin air after being persuaded that the Chinese team will amaze the most skeptical sports enthusiasts everywhere.

At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China won 100 medals including 51 gold, 21 silver and 28 bronze while at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, the Chinese team came home with 88 medals, 38 gold, 27 silver and 23 bronze medals.

At the Rio Olympic Games, the Chinese team started its triumph with winning several gold, silver and bronze medals. Without any doubt, it is an encouraging start.

All Chinese, for certain will rise to the challenge of fulfilling their social responsibilities by having enough faith in their team to watch them winning a gold medal after another. Hopefully, they will repeat their triumph of the 2008 Olympic and win more than 100 medals.

Chinese, worldwide, ought to feel pride watching their team elegantly represent their beloved China.

Chinese in Rio or the nearby cities should allocate some to go to the games to cheer and encourage the Chinese team.

As one of the widespread fans of the Chinese team, I wish to share my fellow Chinese people in wishing the Chinese team exceptional success in their endeavor to bring pride to their country, China.

I invite my expats in China to watch the Olympic events in which the Chinese athletes take part in as a tribute to their host country, China.

On what grounds? You are reading too much western press. (Or Jenflex's posts).

Admittedly, Donald Trump is what is called an unorthodox political figure, loud and as you said, impulsive as evidenced by his seemingly off-the-cuff tweets.
Nevertheless, people may get used to his unpredictability over time, or even start to enjoy the drama surrounding him. You may find the US political scene too drab after Donald Trump steps down as president. lol.
