What Does the DNA Want?
This is my Theory on 'How Life Began on Earth' - Copyright The DNA building-blocks of all living things began its historical evolution at the interfaces of liquid water and solids, which contains minerals and elements required for the creation of life. Due to the local conditions of a particular environment, such as mineral resources, climate, temperatures, etc. the DNA chemical build-up is designated to fit into the local possibilities available to it for growth to its maximum capacity ...

The Origin of Life
The Origin of Life If the history of Earth is compared to a 24-hour day, all of human kind's earliest skeleton to the invention of the i-phone, occurred in the last 4 seconds, dinosaurs roamed the earth just 20 minutes earlier, and earth was created more than 23 hours or 4.5 billion years ago. Earth's history can be described by 6 stages of color representation. Stage 1 is "Black" earth. 4.6 billion years ago, rocks and dust in space formed a molten planet thousands of degrees in temper ...

Old Uncle And Aunt Comes-A-Visiting ("Chinese Story" Blog Contest)
My elderly uncle and aunt from China's Yuxi in Yunnan Province, have just visited my family who are currently living on the beautiful island of Penang, in Malaysia. It was such a pleasure to see them again after my last visit to their home and I was honored to show my favorite uncle and aunt around Penang Island, which is my old hometown. A brief history of the Island is abstracted from wikipedia, and some photographs will bring back old history to life, if you are so inclined to imagine it! ...

Sharing Beautiful Pictures of Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Wuxi in Summer.
In the searing Summer heat of 35-42 degrees centigrade, I enthusiastically rode on my rented red-bicycle, trot, tacked along with a tour-group, sweated, toweled, drank bottled-water, and ice-creamed my way through all the must-see tourist spots. Hopping on and off air-conditioned buses (using the convenient swipe-card) and collecting new bicycles at each of the hundreds of bicycle bays around the city, was --- fun! Here are some photos to share for my Summer work-out and holiday fun. Hope you en ...

Taking a 90-Year-Old Mother for Hangzhou Holiday
One week into our quality-time holiday together, I have been amazed with the experience. For starters, people generally seems delighted to hear that a 90-year-old person is still healthy and interested to travel and see the world, and gives me a cheery thumbs-up for that revelation. I must also commend the younger generation in China and other kind souls for always instantly giving up their seats to an old person, whether in crowded buses or other public areas. Thank you all for your great kin ...

A Marriage Made-In-Heaven and Hope-Upon-A-Sun
Imagine the Sun giving birth to Mini-Suns on Earth, the Off-springs of a marriage between a Lonely Planet and a Star. I have received a marriage-proposal from the Sun to the Earth, and all that is needed is a few million dollars to gather a team of wedding-planners of dedicated Scientists and Engineers to make this Fusion Dream come true! The sunny Off-springs will surely save Earth from her energy woes and stop global-warming from scorching her oceans. Any interested-investors in this lucrative ...

Planet Earth has finite, natural energy resources, and an energy and environmental crisis will arise at the rate the human population is increasing and consuming its natural resources. Nuclear fission technology was developed in the 1950's/60's and to date, formidable challenges and risks of accidents triggered by unforseen circumstances/natural disasters and the hazardous disposal of radioactive waste-products continue to plague the industry. The alternative to nuclear fission is i ...

Charming ChiangMai
I am currently residing in Chiang Mai, in northern Thailand. Being healthy retirees, my husband and I enjoy traveling and looking for charming places to spend a year or two, to learn about the local (Asian) languages, people, and cultures, while we are still willing and able. The adage that a picture paints a thousand words is certainly true, and I would like to share some beautiful photographs myfriends and I took of charming Chiang Mai, my current hometown. ...
