A young Russian woman called Victoria recently spoke to journalists about her happy life as an overseas resident living in Manzhouli, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

In 2010, she met her future husband Yin Xunchong and fell in love with him. Later, they both settled in the border town.

There, they saw the rapid development of urban construction and the growing prosperity of border trade, which influenced their decision.

Now, Victoria has two daughters. Her husband has started a tourism business, and she runs a Russian boutique watch shop in Manzhouli's China-Russia Trade Zone.

During her days there, Victoria learned to speak Chinese and gradually fell in love with Chinese culture. In her spare time, she likes to chat with her family over tea, eat authentic food and enjoy her pleasant life, she says.

Look how poor you are! Can you even believe how poor you are? You had no idea just how poor you were did you. You should have never been born. Your simple parents have gifted you a life that is some kind of hell. Go to uni don't go to uni - you will never escape this hell!

These girls would be a lot happier if they never knew about the city wouldn't they. And now they know how poor they are and they will always feel shame about it especially in China. The journalist just wanted to poison their simple minds and he/she would have gotten a perverse pleasure from doing that.
