Thus far, the INITIAL supercentres - Guangdong, Shandong, Jiangsu, Sichuan has done very well.
The CENTRAL GOVERNMENT administered MEGACITIES of BEIJING, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chongqing are INCREDIBLE SUCCESSFUL.

Now, We are talking about PER CAPITA incomes of nearer US$15,000 per capita for this provinces and cities.

Now, then WHAT'S UP at the other PROVINCES.
Have they calculated their ECONOMIC SITUATION, are they PLANNING TO PROMOTE their provinces to the ENTREPREUNERS of other PROVINCIAL or CENTRAL GOVERNMENT's revenue merchants. How about plans for "KMT faction's" offshore Chinese entrepreuners or revenue merchants and advanced SAR like Hong Kong & Macao.

No news, means no activities.
Each of China provinces is the SIZE of a EUROPEAN UNION state <between 30million to 100 million citizens>, and must have A DEGREE of AUTONOMY so that it's ABLE TO ADAPT it's situation to REALITY of their COMPARATIVE ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE, and the REALITY of it's HUMAN TALENT POOL.

Come on, China, show us some SPARKLE!If China has shown it has the RESOURCES for US$20 trillion, US$30 trillion or US$40 trillion - then the PEOPLE'S TALENT must be encouraged!

Cheerios!

GD they don't have anything to sparkle with.
All they know is copy and build apartments to keep the poor unskilled laborers working.
Nothing to base a reliable independent economy from considering the debt they have incurred thus far.

Many provinces and cities do try to promote themselves with favourable deals for business investors but usually it is not beneficial to set up a business away from the main hubs, in our case due to the fact our clients need us to be sited in a main gateway to China.

Over focusing on internal limited resources and short of input on long term development are worrysome.

Mr. Snow

China does not have SHORTAGE of materials, energy - maybe FUEL.
Look at the VOLUME of production. SCARY HUGE, 2x with 10 million km2 VS 7 million km2 <USA mainland proper>

Not sure HOW CAPABLE is the INLAND provinces.
They need PROVINCIAL BANK SETTLEMENT SYSTEMS, they need PROVINCE BANKING, economic audit, accounting system - so that BALANCE OF PAYMENT, CREDIT LEVEL for each PROVINCE is known accurately AND THE MANAGEMENT of the PROVINCE does not work BLIND.

HA HA HA

Hard to accomplish GD, Provinces and the cities in them are in debt up to their eyeballs.
Creating Hi-Tech and Enterprise Zones with spec buildings, warehouses and worker housing.
Problem is that so many MNC's have or intend to leave these places are currently under utilized.
