Just wondered cos the UK had more input in the Indian education system so I assume they are.

Our resident member Mango10 seems very bright, and I wondered if any Chinese students on here were as bright.

not going to say brightest
the Chinese students get the better results, slightly better. They are less likely to be rebellious and tend to want to please their parents more. How long it will be like that ? I don't think much longer.

Not a true proposition. There are bright students from all countries. The ones that do well in studies or display their 'brightness' furthest are those that are motivated more by the love of the subject or a desire to contribute originally in their field. From that point of view, Indians are more easily satisfied with early material rewards and slack-off earlier in life. The Chinese seem to take it further. They also have it tougher since they start English later in life, have less fluency in it and a lot of studies these days involve English, so they have to work harder. A good measure would be a comparison of the level and quantity of original output by scholars or the difficulty of courses undertaken.  By this measure the Americans, British and Europeans rank among the highest. There are certainly a growing number of Indians, Chinese, Japanese and Koreans among them.

There will be no big difference between Chinese and Indian students.

Maybe India  has certain degree of adventage in terms of  of English environment, but to majority diligent  students, Once they enter into study, all well be excellent in their major and future profession development .

The system is different, the background is different. Both have the quality students. Indian-American school students perform better than native English speaker in USA's English spelling competitions.

But China has the better universities like Tsinghua, Peking etc.
