The west would have happily done that too if the USSR didn't have nuclear deterrence.

It is obvious that you care China, you´ve shown in several threads and comments you´ve posted  in this forum your criticism to the outside world was made through lies only for the purpose of protecting the image of the Chinese government, not any care about Chinese people.

In other words your posts were made ​​with lies and not with facts, running away from replies.

And I agree with what you are saying about the risk of Chinese society becoming too western.

This is your first voluntary misunderstanding, cowardly you blame the West when the reality the greed in Chinese people is based in how to save/show FACE works among them, its culture.

China must tick certain boxes to satisfy the global community as well as the Chinese citizens.

China must pay high wages to compete. China must tick boxes that the CPC may not want to tick if we were under a different global order with different global standards.

China should care more about its citizen, how? providing a better education and promoting the values in the society, Simple.

Stageism is a transition and I believe China is in a transition. In my opinion the CPC are doing a masterful job of managing their transition and keeping things red and on the right road.

Materful job it will be called when the CPC gives to Chinese people a better education and stopping the showing off in their Party members, its one proof of how greedy can be people from  a top leader to the simple worker who can´t eat well but to have a smartphone can give a bit of ¨respect¨ among the society.
