Sometimes I feel the need to eat something that reminds me my homeland, childhood, and some special moments in my life.Do You have the same?

White borscht - the taste of my childchood, especially with the forrest mushrooms and a Polish sausage.

When I was in the college - I lived in a different city than my family (not very far), and visited home one or two times a month.
My mother always wanted to do "something special", but I insisted that this is the very special dish for me :)
So every time I came home - next day this was the main course.

Most countries in Latinamerica prepare this dish.

Green Spaghetti with Steak

The main ingredients are spinach and basil.

This is my favorite dish from my childhood. All my rellatives and all my friends knows that i love this dish.
Sadly in China is hard to find basil {:soso_e109:}

Denial, according the psychoanalysts, is one of the most primary mechanisms of defense. It consists in the attitude of denying or minimizing obvious facts of reality with which the individual can´t  cope or whose irresponsibility is unable to meet.

And I agree.

THAT'S A LONG WAY FROM STUFFED CABBAGE

If I want a good case of the GAS, I will make Stuffed Cabbage. That's a meal you can't pass on when you smell it cooking...My Grandmother made a lot of Italian dishes. I liked spaghetti day, she cooked the sauce real slow overnight with salt pork and fresh rabbit or chicken that they killed from the farm. I can't mention the other secret ingredients because she wouldn't tell us...My mom knew all the secrets, but only passed it on to my sister who refuses to tell...

That´s also my favorite.
The difference is the Pesto is not cooked. The one i said should be cook it and boil just for few minutes and its done. The parm cheese is a must on the dish.

basil is dried before making sauce. I don't cook it, just the pasta. It makes good pizza too, or used as a dip...
