Bribery Act – Second Conviction

A second conviction under the Bribery Act 2010 has now taken place and , like the first, the prosecution was brought for bribery (in this case unsuccessful) of a public official in the UK.

In the case in point, an Oldham man who had on several occasions failed his driving test to qualify for a taxi driver's licence, offered the examiner, on the occasion of his latest failure, a bribe to pass him.

The examiner reported him to the authorities and he was prosecuted and found guilty. He was sentenced to two months' imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.

I wonder how many dirving test examiners in China would refuse the cash and report him to the authorities?
