Today, the 2nd of the second month in Chinese lunar calendar, is the traditional day  of "haircut" since it's a taboo for Chinese to cut their hair during the 1st month of lunar calendar. People seek to cut their hair for a better spirit and indication. In my hometown, there is another saying that if you cut your hair in the first lunar month, your uncle (jiu jiu in pinyin) will be cursed.

In my hometown,we usually call it "Dragon raises its head DAY",I don't kown if I can call it like this.
