CBI files case against CBDT officer for bribe [Copy link] 中文

MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA.




The Central Bureau of Investigation, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday registered a case against Laxmikant Dudhe, Senior Accounts Officer, Zonal Accounts Office, CBDT for demanding bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant who was providing car on rental basis to Income Tax (IT) department.

The complainant has alleged that the accused demanded bribe from him for clearing his pending bills for the providing cars on rental basis to the IT department.

A trap was laid wherein Dudhe and one private person who accepted bribe on behalf of the accused public servant was caught red handed while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant in the cabin of accused situated in Aaykar Bhawan at New Marine Lines.

Both the accused persons were arrested and produced before the Special Judge on Friday.

Further investigation is in progress.
