Alloy Phra Pidta are rare and costly to make. First to make the mould, then asking  various temples to write sacred words onto the sheets of various metals. Even gold and silver are added into other alloys to form Nava material.

Depending on requirement, only gold molten will be pour into the mould, if golden Pidta is to be made, and same for silver Pidta. During the pouring of the molten metal into the mould, the chief monk will be chanting and transferred the merits and power of the molten into the mould.

Will be showing some rare and beautiful Phra Pidta of Luang Phor Khron of Wat Uttamaram, made more than 50 years ago.

Next, I will be posting Iron shape made images of Luang Phor Khron aka Tok Raja (local Malaysian and Singaporean called him). Very popular amongst the collectors and also most popular remake by his disciples. In the market, plenty of replica in circulation at fraction of a cost, and in several version.

So far only posted cast and carved images of Phra Pidta and Luang Phor Khron, and too many to be posted and shared with the groups.

Will be posting some medallion or rian of Luang Phor Khron, made by his chief disciple, which was given to me personally when I paying homage to him some 30 years ago. These were made in BE 2524 (1981) and also a batch remake in 1991 by Chau Khun Mit, the nephew Lunag Phor Khron. The earlier batch by Chau  Khun Chan is getting rare and getting expensive.

Will be some posting some Phra Pidta from the late Luang Phor Pae of Wat Phikulthong, Singburi Province. I heard about him while I was in Bangkok, in 1986 while visiting some temples and shops dealing with amulets, and was told that his amulets are good for those are doing in business lines and general protection.

He strictly adhere to the teaching of Buddha, and sponsored many projects, benefited the citizens, such as hospital, roads and schools. Wat Phikulthong's Phra Pidta can be considered the most beautiful rainbow colours, that none of other temples can make. Striking patterns and colourful.

Happy viewing.

Third generation disciple of Luang Phor Khron, the late Luang Phor Dam of Wat Mai Naparam, just across the other side of the border, in Southern Thailand. made some interesting Phra Pidta amulets. Very unlikely the styles can be found in central and Northern Thailand. Most Southern Thailand Phra Pidta, derived from the style of the famous Luang Phor Khron aka Tok Raja, and is distinguished from the human like feature in 3D form.
