Historically, Japan may have a stigma for its invasion history. And now more and more people worry about the "threat of China's rise". From an eye of the stander-by, which nation of the two do you trust better and which one do you think is prone to racism?

I want to hear those from other countries or regions excluding the above two.

Historically, both were hardly what can be called peaeful.
Last century, Japan certainly wasn't.
This time, China is hardly being peaceful when it claims islands, islets and rocks well within other countries EEZs and when have flakes (armchair generals) as well as more public figure, calling for war to regain sovereignty over said places.
The other nations don't say that they're prepared to accept the loss of so many cities and people (I wonder if they've consulted the actualy people about this). China does, according to published reports here.

Other nations aren't so belicose in proclaiming their greatness. China is.

Take your conclusions from what is written here and in the Chinese media.

Conclusion, Japan increases it's defense budget by a miniscule amount. China has increased it's defense budget by double didget percentages each year, for how many years. Again, hardly peaceful.

Japan doesn't seem to demand this and that globally, but China does. This is peaceful?

Conclusion, it isn't Japan that is belligerent, it's China!

I have no axe to grind in this, my observations are on record for all to see. However, the armchair generals and LGKs gang will now call me anti-Chinese for speaking the truth simply because they cannot acknowledge the truth!

I'm not biased either way really but events speak for themselves, no?

Yes, if the world is only black and white.
