Bank robber uses mobility scooter as getaway vehicle.

Police say a 62-year-old man who allegedly robbed a Perth bankand used a mobility scooter to make his escape did not get far before he wascaught.

Police allege the man entered Bankwest's Subiaco branch on Rokeby Road onFriday afternoon.
They say he approached a female teller, demanding cash.
The man allegedly tried to get away on his mobility scooter, but police saythey caught up with him three streets away on Hamersley Road a short timelater.
He has been charged with robbery and will appear in court later this month.
