Love stories at a construction site

向和国今年40岁，刘春燕38岁，有一儿一女，都在家乡的重点高中读书。“就是希望孩子能好好读书，有个好前途。”刘春燕之前在家乡当幼教，由于工资低，今年跟丈夫一起到太原打工。
40-year-old Xiang Heguo and 38-year-old Liu Chunyan have a son and a daughter who are both studying in a high school back in their hometown."All that we wish for is that our children will have a bright future by studying hard" Liu Yanchun had taken a babysitting job, as the wage was too low, she followed her husband to Taiyuan for employment.

庞顺斌四十多岁，为人平和，话不多。郑娟性格较为外向，在工地上主要负责给水电安装的工友们做饭。他们有两个孩子，大儿子在重庆理工大学读书，小女儿在老家读高中。她希望儿子能继续读研究生，“读出书来，他们以后就不会再向我们一样受苦了。”
Pang Shunbin, in his 40s, has an easygoing and quiet personality, whereas Zheng Juan, whose responsibility is to cook for all fellow workers in the construction site, is more extroverted. They have two children: Their son is studying in Chongqing University of Technology and their daughter is in high school. They wish that their son would further his study in graduate school, "In that case, they won't have to live a back-breaking life as we do now."


陈善光和杜俊今年都23岁了，在家乡结婚，有一个一岁多的孩子，今年春节后来到太原。陈善光比较腼腆，不怎么说话。
Chen Shanguang and Du Jun, both 23 years old, got married in their hometown and had a baby over a year ago.After this Spring Festival, they came to Taiyuan for work. Chen Shanguang is quite reserved who doesn't talk much.

李教飞24岁了，云南红河人，18岁就来到太原打工，工作在不同的工地，一直呆到现在。现在，李教飞一家4口都在工地上。他的女儿只有11个月，出生后，母亲就来到工地上帮他看孩子。

Li Jiaofei,24 years old from Honghe County Yunnan Province, came to Taiyuan when he was 18. Ever since then, he has been working at different construction sites. At present, all 4 members of his family are at the site, including his 11-month-old daughter and his mother who's been taking care of the baby since her birth.

The couple, Xiang Heguo, 40, and Liu Chunyan, 38, has a daughter and a son who are now students in a key senior High School in hometown. “ We wish they could work hard and have a better future”, said Liu, who used to be a pre-school teacher in hometown quitted her job for low salary, now work in Taiyuan with his husband this year.

Pang Shunbin, in his 40s, is peaceful and don’t talk much. His outgoing wife Zhen Juan cooks meals for plumbers and electrician on the construction site. The couple has two kids, the elder brother is a student in Chongqing University of Technology, younger sister is a senior high school student. Zhen wish his son could become a graduate student, “ If they study well, they will not live a hard life like us.

Du Shanguang and Du jun are both 23 years old. They are married in hometown and have a over one-year-old toddler. They came to work in Taiyuan after Spring Festival. Chen is a little shy and not talks much.

Li Jiaofei, 24, came from Honghe, Yunnan Province. Since 18, Li has worked for different construction sites in Taiyuan. Now, Li and his family are still working and living on a construction site. His mother came to take care of his daughter since she was born, now , his daughter is 11 month old.

She was not satisfied with the pay, so she quitted her job and came to Taiyuan with her husband this year.

Pang Shunbin is more than 40 years old now. He is quite easy-going and doesn't talk too much. He is responsible for cooking for other workers at the construction site. He and his wife have two children. Their eldest son is a student of Chongqing University of Technology and their youngest daugher is studying in a senior middle school in their hometown. "After they get their degree, they won't live a life as hard as we have now." Pang's wife hope her son can continue to pursue a postgraduate degree.

Li Jiaofei is 24 years old. He came from Honghe, Yunnan province. He came to Tianyuan to work when he was 18. He used to work at different contruction sites until now. Now, he and his family are all live at the construction site. His daughter is only 11 months old. After the baby girl was born, his mother came to the construction site to look after the baby.

Pang Shunbin, over 40, is a quiet man and rarely talks. Zheng Juan, quite extroverted, cooks for the workers at the building site. They have two children. The elder son studies at Chongqing Science and Technology University. The younger daughter studies in a senior high school in the hometown. Zheng wishes her son to continue postgraduate studies, “They will not suffer the same pain as we did after they graduate.”  Zheng said.

Pang Shunbin, with two kids, a son and a daughter, is over 40. His wife, Zhengjuan is some outgoing compared to her incommunicative husband who has a gentle personality. She cooks for the workers on the construction site as her work, the workers who are responsible for the installation of water and electricity. Their son studies in Chongqing University of Technology, and their daughter is a high school student in their hometown. Zhengjuan hoped her son could get a master’s degree, and then the children will live a better life not like them.
