What you say is true......
But you want to learn a language from someone who knows it very well.

Your last sentence, I agree with but here in China, some places use their caucasian faces as an advertisement that they have a native English speaker, and rake in the cash, while paying such teachers a pittance. It is actually ruining the industry!
The teachers, the sudents and their parents are the victims in this!

I'm sure as a white man, he has been treated differently from the locals.
As a ABC I can observe Chinese in a more "natural" way.
I post things that I have been through and seen first hand.

Chinese are marginalised in China.

It is a hangover of China's semi-colonial past.

I totally agree

The education system here just wants to make money and don't care about the quality of the education they give to the students.
THIS DOES NOT HELP CHINA!!!!!
It makes China look stupid and greedy
DISGUSTING!!!!

You may well be right.....but Chinese English teachers still have a long way to go, on the whole.
...

Very true.......
Many do not even like to speak English because they know their level is very poor.
So how can these people be teaching?

A friend of mine, in Shanghai is an agent for recruiting teachers, of all languages and for many subjects. He posts, in his ad's, that "only native English speakers need apply" (if this is what is client requires)....but he still get's applications from so many people, who aren't native speakers.
