The Curious Case of Benjamin Button book review|
Benjamin Button is a strange person whose life is contranatural. When he was born in 1919, he had already been over 70 years old. Then, he grew into a young man. After that, becoming a baby. At the first, his father abandoned this poor “old man”. Luckily, a kind black woman adopted him and taught him with her intelligence and experience. In 1930, Benjamin was acquainted with Daisy who was a six-year-old girl. Subsequently, they fell in love with each other. During Second World War, Benjamin went to England by sea. During this period, he knew about people of all ranks and found out the value of life. After the war, Daisy and he met in New York. Daisy had become a successful dancer. In 1950, they seemed to be of the same age and lived together happily. As time goes by, Benjamin realised that he should leave Daisy since he was becoming younger and younger. This fiction is full of fantasy. Thus, the characters are not credible. I aspire to be Benjamin as he can go back in time.
In my opinion, I like this book so much. Only “creative” can be used to describe the plot. Means of artistic expression, such as suspension, are also employed in the fiction. I like the part when Benjamin realised that he was growing younger and younger. I hate the part when his irresponsible father abandoned him. I do not want to change anything because it will destroy the mystery of the plot.
I would like to recommend this book to another person who believes in miracle.
