Forget about ideology , it is irrelevant.

When it comes to the private vs public controversy the criteria I use is can it go bankrupt and what will the impact be to the nation? It does not matter if the grocer or the baker go bankrupt because someone else will take their place but if the hospital goes bankrupt what happens to the patients? Can we let a prison go bankrupt or the railway company for that matter?

Some utilities and services are vital to the nation and should be owned by the public as the taxpayer will have to pay to keep them going whatever happens.

Brainwashed they may be Robert, but I know that there are people who truly believe what they post, even though they may be totally unable to support any of their claims.

It is exasperating at times but that is how blinkered some people are. They will never be convinced otherwise.
