when a country has no  shame, it can do silly things, even self destructive things.

I think people in China will eventually enjoy all that sooner or later,
1.3 billion people will take a bit of time,
30 years ago China was dirt poor, but now it's the 2nd largest economy,
and soon it'll become the largest economy in the world.
China is changing and changing fast.

No, not so bad compared to what happened to ME, Afghanistan, North Africa, 'White Australian Policy',Chinese Exclusion Act, 'Dogs & Chinese not allowed', Apartheid, Race Riots in Indonesia, etc, etc

No one ever disputed the claim over the scarborough shoal but France claimed the Spratlys and the Paracels as part of their empire when they colonized Vietnam and China recognized their claim and dropped both Paracels and Spratlys from their maps for about 40 years...

China is the world's 2nd economybecause of its population but if you check GDP per inhabitant and purchasing power parity, then China is around the 90th rank...

Overall, you have much more chances to be rich by being from Luxembourg than you do coming from China...

You forget about debt per capital,
China is far better than USA, Japan, UK, France, Spain, etc,etc
Debt crisis could cause bankruptcy,
and your high per capital income will come to naught !!

Maybe, that is because they hide it very well.


with the Yuan threatening to increase in value all the time,
hedge funds and hot money will find a way to hold yuan assets.

so, the question becomes....................how much of the 3.3 trillion in foreign reserves is represented by hot money? 10%, 50 % , 100 %? The Central bank of China has never told anyone.
