We are launching a photo sharing activity. This week's theme (May28-Jun3) is
Something good you eat
.
Have you seen the new documentary called "A bite of China"? It has become a hit recently in China. It has aroused huge interests from people in China and over-seas as well towards Chinese food.  Did you try anything different because of the document? Share with us.

You can post as many photos as you want, as long as they're original and related to the theme.

RULES AND INFO:

A new theme is announced each Friday.
Submissions are due by midnight the following Sunday (9 days later).
The creative and fun photos will be posted on the New release of the activity thread, and will stay up for one week.

Take out your smallphones or cameras and let's start capture interesting moments in your life.

Over the years I have been introduced to many many Chinese dishes and most I have thoroughly enjoyed, but my friends Fish dish is just divine, I am so glad she introduced it to me and it's so simple to cook and very tasty.  Got to love Chinese food!

There's no secret to it. It's pretty straight forward.

Ingredients:
A couple of fish fillets (already de-boned and skin removed)
1/2 Capsicum
1-2 hot chillies
A couple of lettuce leaves western style or Bok Choi 大白菜
Oyster sauce
Soy sauce
Chilli Sauce (not sweet, hot)
Salt
1 clove garlic
Small amount fresh ginger, (optional)

Preparation:
Slice fish in to bite sized bits and put aside.
Fine chop chillies
Chop up Capsicum (bell pepper)
Shred lettuce

Cook fish in a little oil in a wok.  Drain most of the oil from wok then capsicum and chillies, garlic and ginger .. cook for about a minute until crispy but not overcooked. Add in the liquids very quickly and bring to the boil.

The amount of liquids depends on how much fish and other ingredients you are using. It's very much "seat of the pants" cooking, that is you adjust things so they are balanced in taste and also look right. Throw lettuce for about 20 seconds or so. You can also cook the lettuce separately if you wish. If using

Add fish back in and warm through for a few seconds in the boiling mix.  Serve with rice and other dishes.

For variation you can also add thinly sliced and chopped tomato, onion (sliced), even fine sliced carrot or baby corn, bamboo etc.
