According to a recent report, construction plans for the 606 metre-high Wuhan Greenland Financial Center – currently listed as the second tallest building in China and the third tallest building in the world – are being revised to add a bit of 'extra height' to the skyscraper, in a bid to become the tallest building in China (currently held by The Shanghai Tower at 632 metres). The Wuhan Greenland Financial Centre is located between the Wuhan-Yangze River Tunnel (武汉长江隧道) and the Second Wuhan Yangzi River Bridge (长江二桥), and is currently under construction. The original plans had called for 119 floors above-ground and six underground, and was to be completed in 2017.
