I really don't care what you or others think.
... Your opinion has been corrupted by politics, by the Bush regime, etc...

And therein lies the rub.

Let me use an analogy, perhaps you will understand why I accuse the USAnian people and the USAnian soldiers complicit in the heinous war crimes and crimes against humanity.

If Nazi Germany was a democracy and in 1944, the German people voted  Hitler, Goering, Himmler et al out of office, would that exonerate Nazi Germany from war crimes? Or would the country still have to pay for its crimes against humanity?

Same argument applies, is USofA now totally exonerated from the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld Administration's crimes against humanity because the trio had to step down after 8 years?

So all is forgiven after a president leaves office, as if nothing has happened?

Where is natural justice in all of this?

Collective guilt is wrong cestmoi.  What should be demanded is a yugoslavia-style war tribunal to punish guilty parties.  I have petitioned for the bush admin to be tried for war crimes.  But as with any country, its not going to happen unless its forced upon them.  There has been zero external pressure from other countries to pursue this.  Why is that?

US troops suicide rate higher than casaulty from action.

This post was edited by cestmoi at 2012-6-10 06:47

Why am I resuscitating this thread?

Because NYTimes reported that the suicide rate amongst active US military troops is higher than casualties from action. Over ten years of war, no end to it and limited upward mobility.

Who's responsible? Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld? Oh yeah they are not in office anymore, so they can't be held responsible.

People like Bush, Cheney Rumsfeld et al give democracy a real bad name!
