Zhou Wenyan drinks water that is transported from a well outside Luogong village in Yunnan province on Feb 21. The teacher said the water is transported twice everyday from a deep well four to five kilometers away. Every student gets 1.5 liters for a whole day to drink and wash. A student named Zhou Wenyan said: “I have to save the water after washing my face to wash my feet.” The school’s president they have 350 students. The water situation is strained now and the shortage is expected to become more serious in March and April as the draught goes on.
