Do the Chinese LOVE candy?  What kind of candy/sweets are popular in China?  Give me some names. Tell me about the history of them. I'm a professional candy historian. Help!

Nowadays, more and more young people have turned to chocolate or other candies from west. When i was young, I remember one candy called "da bai tu or White rabbit" but hardly seen now. Xu Fu ji is a popular brand now in China, it's a brand from Hong Kong.

When I was young we lived near a Chocolate factory in Hackney in London, it was torture walking past it after school, so much so we walked the long way home so we couldn't smell it.

I know my Mother got fed up with me asking for money every morning to buy some from the little shop on the side of the factory on my way home

My Father was a Pilot, so we were not poor like many of my good school friends.
But I can remember, I'd buy two bars one for me then give the other bar to whoever I was walking home with, if there was 3 others they'd share the bar but I was greedy and kept a whole one for me{:soso_e110:}

I dont eat it now 84kgs and I don't want to be 94kgs.
Actually having been reminded of that, I can smell that factory now.{:soso_e113:}Long since been demolished for houses though

THOSE WERE THE DAYS{:soso_e100:}
