We would like to wish you all a happy Chinese New year!

Are you going home for a family reunion or will you have to stay? Please share your stories about the festival, like buying train tickets or travel, Spring Festival galas, or making dumplings.

If you are abroad, how do you usually celebrate the festival overseas?

For expats in China, what is your impression of the festival or stories related to it? How are you going to spend the holidays?

Get a glimpe of what a tipical village is like in Heilongjiang provinve. I took it through a window of a van. You can hardly see any old earthen houses.

The highest temperature is - 12'C which indicates a mild winter in my hometown. It didn't snow this year as much as before.

They reflect the country life without any modifications in Heilongjiang.


This is what my hometown was like some 10 years ago. Guess whereabouts it is?

I miss the old times when people were poor, but they were full of life, the life there was simple but happy.

You can't tell those white "eggs" are 豆包(steamed sticky rice buns stuffed with sweetened bean paste)？because they are so sticky when they're hot, so when being frozen, you have to use something like a hatchet to get them off the pad.

Yes. China is a huge country. I have been there many times and have traveled quite extensively though I still have not covered the whole country. I would like to wish the people of China, "Gong Xi Fa Cai."
