2011 is coming to an end, but many of China's images this year will last long after the year has gone. China.org.cn selected China's most memorable moments captured on camera in chronological order. And what's your most memorable moment?
1. Salt Panic

The public rushes to supermarkets to buy packs of iodized salt, as many believed the iodine contained in the salt would help prevent radiation from Japan's Fukushima nuclear power plants hit by the 9.0 magnitude earthquake on March 11, 2011. People also believed that nuclear fallout would contaminate future supplies of sea salt.

7. Algae in Qingdao

Photo taken on July 26, 2011, shows the sea and the algae off the coastline of Qingdao, Shandong Province. The North China Sea Marine Forecasting Center of State Oceanic Administration forecasted that the green algae would continue spreading northward, and some would be washed ashore from July 26 to 28.
