On April 1, 1976, Steve Jobs got together with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne to draft a 3-page contract that established Apple Computer Co. The contract, with the 3 founding partners' signatures, will hit the auction block in Sotheby's Dec 13 sales, Bloomberg reported.
The contract was initially owned by Wayne. On April 12, Wayne withdrew as partner, and received $2,300 for relinquishing his 10% ownership of Apple.
Based on Apple's market capitalization today, Wayne's 10% stake would be valued at almost $35b.
