Nice pictures and introductions.

I have been to Badaling several times but have never been to other parts of the Great Wall. Thanks!

I think I will go to the Great Wall (other than Dadaling) again this winter.

.....................................................

It was a wonderful chance to see the wall without so many people ........

And lovely weather ........

A great wall ........

A great history ........

And a great day .............

BTW .........

The original pictures are very good quality .........

I had to batch crush and resize these to make them easier to post ........

Hence some loss in quality ............

BTW ...........

A couple of ancient sayings illustrates pointedly the relationship between Badaling and Juyong Pass:

"To look down at Juyong Pass from Badaling Great Wall is like watching water being poured into a deep well",

and "The strategic vantage point of Juyong Pass does not lie in the village of Guan [i.e., the village where

Juyong Pass is situated], but in Badaling".
