The Global population is 7 billion, and the adult economic active numbers some 3.5 to 3.8 billion people. However income level ranges from US$1,000 annually in the Wild, Arid, Desert, Oceanic regions to China's US$5,000 annual average income to the Rich state with average annual incomes of US$40,000.

The US$100 Tablet will make it possible FOR GLOBAL MARKET, and it's attendant EXPANSION of niche uses.

I expect VOLUME tobe in region of 600 to 700 million units annually once the PRICE TARGET is achieved!
(And FOXCONN attempts to ROBOTIZED the production of such units is probably the solution!)

China's Changhong, Haixin, Hair, TV set producer had won a large market share by low price. But they failed when the new technology was introduced into TV set industry.

Nokia had ever dominated mobile phone market in China. However, Nokia began to go down in market when Apple and Korean phone producer made better smart mobile phone.
After we look at the progress ever made by Chinabird "Bodao" mobile phone company again, Cheapness shouldn't be the major sharp weapon of Xiaomi mobile phone in the long run. Xiaomi team need to learn from what Korean mobile phone companies.

The HIGH END computer is the PERSONAL COMPUTER, Lap tops with massively better capability with various upgrade options.

The TABLET computer is just a MASS MARKET cheap computer direction.
In the future - more dramatic products would be developed from the "nano solid state technology" - this could include - (just recently introduced in a trade show in California) - the TRANSPARENT SCREEN, probably the flexible weaved LED NANO FABRIC (Can be use in military camouflage - "cloaking device"), and the expansion of use in various capacity in Education, Smart Home, Advertistment Boards, Interactive Automotive Display etc.
