I suppose if life were infinite, then it might be worth waiting for a fix .........

Who knows, scientific/medical breakthroughs are happening at accelerating speed, maybe one day, suddenly a cure is discovered for such disease.

Yes ........

I watched a nature programme yesterday, where a hippo struck off the lower jaw of a lioness and it was just hanging by a thread ...........

The lioness went for a drink of water and of course couldn't ........

Then she just lay on the riverbank and waited death with a calmness which was quite eerie  ...........
